Jalis are sources of inspiration. These centuries-old Indian stone reliefs are architectural elements and façade designs, developed and elaborated in similar traditions throughout the Arab Maghreb all the way to Morocco.
The stamped pattern for sheet metal developed with Ostertagarchitekten was originally used in the field of solar protection and sunshades, later also for fence elements.
Mathis Esterhazy also uses it for interior design, increasingly supplementing it with textile design elements. The pattern is abstracted into two variants and machine-embroidered onto fabrics for furniture surface design.
Furthermore, a small product range has been developed based on the pattern variations. It is available via the INCOMO d.o.o. platform.
