{"id":2094,"date":"2019-12-08T09:55:00","date_gmt":"2019-12-08T08:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/incomo.si\/wein\/"},"modified":"2021-08-25T13:48:25","modified_gmt":"2021-08-25T11:48:25","slug":"wine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/incomo.si\/en\/wine\/","title":{"rendered":"Wine"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><br>  Article from 12 December 2019, wine <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#ffffff\">xxx<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have brought some special wines from three\ntrips through Slovenia down to the Italian border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, some descriptions of wines have left us\nrather puzzled: are they called \u201corange wines\u201d for their colour, and \u201cnatural\nwines\u201d because they haven\u2019t been treated? Does the term \u201cquevri wine\u201d refer to\nits Georgian origin and storage in amphorae?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nor do specifications like \u201cskin contact\u201d,\n\u201cmacerated\u201d or \u201cmash-fermented\u201d bring any light into the darkness: they\ndescribe only partial aspects, and certainly not in terms that everyone can\nunderstand. Tasting these wines has aroused interest, irritation, sometimes disappointment.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery aligncenter columns-1 is-cropped\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/incomo.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_5133-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"2057\" data-link=\"https:\/\/incomo.si\/?attachment_id=2057\" class=\"wp-image-2057\" srcset=\"https:\/\/incomo.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_5133-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/incomo.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_5133-400x300.jpg 400w, https:\/\/incomo.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_5133-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/incomo.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_5133-1320x990.jpg 1320w, https:\/\/incomo.si\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/IMG_5133.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Gorizia Hills, or <em>Gori\u0161ka Brda<\/em> in Slovene, are\ndifferent in every way: located near the So\u010da valley, they offer a cherry festival and other culinary\ndelights. The hilly <em>Brda<\/em> is a traditional wine-growing region. Vines\nhave grown here for centuries, with vineyards arranged in horizontal terraces side\nby side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vintners told us that 80% of work is\ndone on the very vine stocks in order to avoid the use of pesticides and\nsulphites in the vineyard or wine cellar. They all stand in the tradition of Jo\u0161ko Gravner and Stanko Radikon, pioneers of natural wine in the region, who favour\nexperimentation over certification. Some vintners with small vineyards have\ntaken the same path, growing for example Malvazija, Chardonnay,&nbsp;Sauvignon and Jakot (Tokai Friulano) wines alongside\nthe autochtonous Verduc and Rebula grapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\nalso learned that these wines are best served at cellar temperature (i.e. at 14\u00b0C to 16\u00b0C), and will take a while to develop their\nfull aroma.
